NO. 20 Florida Gators beat the Kentucky Wildcats for the 27th time straight.

Kentucky doesn’t give the Gators much contest even without QB Jeff Driskel. QB Tyler  Murphy is back on the field making his first career start for Florida in Lexington, KY. On his starting debut, he passed for 156 yards and a touchdown and also rushed for a 5 yard touchdown

Florida had no problems moving the ball on Kentucky thanks to Murphy, who didn’t miss a beat in completing his first 11 passes and rushing for 36 yards something Kentucky just could not keep up with.

RB Matt Jones had an impressive day also, proving that when he gets the ball, he has a good chance of taking it a long ways. He rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown.

Jones, who had 28 carries, gained more than the Kentucky offense by himself while him  and WR Trey Burton provided all of the Gators’ touchdowns in the first half to extend the longest active winning streak over a major opponent.

Tricky found its way on the field as, the only touchdown for Kentucky was when K Joe Mansour‘s 25-yard run on a fake field goal

The Florida defense held the Wildcats to only 48 rushing yards which is 7 below their average and only allowed 1-of-8 third down conversions.

No contest in Lexington, the Florida Gators top the Kentucky Wildcats 24-7.
